Jo Overline serves as Chief Technology Officer, overseeing all technology functions at Hippo. Previously, Jo served as VP of Engineering following Hippo's acquisition of his technical advisory firm in 2021. Before joining Hippo, Jo was the CEO and co-founder of SwingDev, a highly-respected tech advisory and software development firm in the Bay Area. During his ten-year tenure at SwingDev, Jo was a lead advisor for over 150 VC-funded startups and acted as a strategic advisor and consultant for multiple acquisitions. Jo’s mission is to empower Hippo’s business leaders and operations teams, reinforcing Hippo as a technological leader in the insurance industry and providing innovative solutions to protect the joy of homeownership for Hippo customers.
